Just go buy these at the mall!Apr 19, 2010
These shorts are fine but they are a much better deal if you just buy them at the mall. I placed these board shorts, along with several others from other seller's, on to a wish list for my birthday. I live in Hawaii but my parents are on the mainland, so they went to Amazon and clicked to order these. Shockingly, when the board shorts arrived, in a very small "Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box", which other vendors use and the cost is only $5.55 to Hawaii (per USPS website), this company, Motohelmet's Motorcycle Accessories, charged my mom's credit card $17.50 just for shipping!!! We contacted the company today and they agreed to give a credit of only $7.50 back instead of $12.50. Incidentally, the other two seller's who she ordered other board shorts from, charged only $4.99 for shipping. So, be forewarned, if you do business with this seller, you will be ripped-off with the shipping charge. Incidentally, when I asked the seller if they would just prefer that I send the shorts back for a full refund, they seemed to be OK with making no sale than doing the right thing and refunding the full difference...not good business! We order a lot of things on-line and through Amazon. Most companies are good and don't over-inflate their shipping costs...unfortunately, this is not one of them.
